Privacy Policy
The short version
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information. Your quote request stays inside our agency. We don't pass it to other agencies, lead buyers, or marketing partners.
- We share only what's needed to do the job you asked for: with the insurance company that quotes or issues your policy (such as Allstate), and with the service providers that run our website, forms, and phones.
- If you give us your number, we may call or text you about your quote. Reply STOP to any text, or just tell us, and we'll stop.
- You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your information at any time.
1. Who we are and what this covers
The Della Agency (The Paul J. Della Agency, "we," "us," or "our") is a locally owned insurance agency based at 1135 Deer Park Ave, North Babylon, NY 11703, representing Allstate Insurance Company and its affiliates. We are licensed in New York and additional states; our license information is available on request.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit thedellaagency.com, request a quote, call or text us, or scan one of our mailers. It applies to our website and our direct communications with you.
If you buy a policy: the insurance company that issues it will also give you its own privacy notice, as required by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and New York insurance regulations. That notice governs how the insurer handles your policy information. For Allstate policies, see the Allstate Privacy Center.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you choose to provide, which depends on the form and the coverage:
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, and street address.
- Quote details: the coverage you want, date of birth, gender, marital status, household drivers, vehicles (year, make, model), property details (type, age, size, stories), whether you own your home, and your current insurance company.
- Life insurance quotes only: a general, self-reported description of your health (for example, "excellent" or "good"). We treat this as sensitive information and use it only to prepare the quote you requested.
- Anything you tell us on a call, by text, by email, or in person.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or payment card numbers on this website. Never enter them in a website form. If a policy application needs them, a licensed agent will collect them through a secure channel.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
- Approximate location: a city-level location estimated from your IP address, which we use to show local information and pre-fill your ZIP code. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Campaign information: which ad, mailer, or article brought you to us (for example, the code in a mailer QR link), so we know which outreach is working.
- Call information: when you call a tracking number on our site, our call-tracking provider records the date, time, duration, and the number you called from, and matches the call to the page or campaign that led to it.
Information from verification and address-lookup services
As you complete a form, the phone number and email address you enter are sent to a verification service to confirm they are valid and able to receive messages. When you type a street address, an address-lookup service from Google suggests matching addresses. We use only what we need from these services to complete your quote request.
3. How we use your information
- To prepare the insurance quotes you request and to help you buy, service, or renew a policy.
- To contact you about your quote by phone, text, or email, as described in Section 5.
- To check that contact details are real and to prevent spam, fraud, and fake submissions.
- To run, secure, and improve our website, and to understand which outreach brings people to us.
- To keep the records that insurance law requires, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
5. Calls, texts, and your consent
When you submit a form and agree to be contacted, you give us your consent to call and text you about your quote and related insurance products and services at the number you provided, including with automated technology. Here's how that works:
- Consent is optional. You never have to agree to calls or texts to buy insurance from us. You can call us directly at (631) 616-8884 instead.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop texts, reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE) to any message. Reply HELP for help. You can also tell us on a call, email us, or use any other reasonable method. We honor your request promptly and within the time the law requires.
- Stopping marketing messages does not stop important service messages about an active policy, such as billing notices or claim updates, unless you ask us to stop those too.
- Wrong number? If you receive a message meant for someone else, reply STOP or call us and we'll promptly remove your number.
- Call recording: if a call with our office is recorded for quality, training, or record-keeping, you'll be told at the start of the call.
Mobile information is never shared. We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are excluded from every type of sharing described in this policy, except with the service providers that deliver our messages.
6. Do Not Call requests
We keep an internal Do Not Call list, as required by the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, and New York General Business Law § 399-z. If you ask us not to call or text you, we add your number to that list, honor it promptly and within the time the law requires, and keep it on file for at least ten years. We follow federal and state Do Not Call rules, including the National Do Not Call Registry (which incorporates New York's statewide registry), and we don't make telemarketing calls or texts to registered numbers unless you've given us consent or have an existing relationship with us.
To make a request, call (631) 616-8884, reply STOP to a text, or email pdella@allstate.com.
8. How we protect your information
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections for our website and forms and limiting access to the staff who need it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by law.
9. How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and communications for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal duties. Insurance laws require agencies to keep certain client and policy records for several years. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous. We honor Do Not Call requests for at least ten years.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
No matter where you live, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information. We will do so unless the law requires us to keep it, for example records tied to an insurance policy.
- Stop marketing calls, texts, or emails at any time.
State privacy laws. Residents of certain states, including Connecticut, Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, may have additional rights under their state's consumer privacy law, to the extent that law applies to us and to the information involved. Much of the information we handle is governed instead by federal and state insurance privacy laws. We honor valid requests under whichever law applies. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of in those areas, but you can still ask us to confirm this.
How to make a request. Call (631) 616-8884 or email pdella@allstate.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days), or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that they are authorized.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
We will never treat you differently, or charge you a different price, for exercising your privacy rights.
11. Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults shopping for insurance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it. Information about young drivers on a household auto quote is provided by a parent or guardian and is used only for that quote.
12. Other websites
Our site links to other websites, including Allstate, Google reviews, and government resources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change, we'll post a prominent notice on this page and, where the law requires, notify you directly or ask for your consent.
